The Good Wardrobe
Eco-fashion advocate Zoe Robinson is founder of the Good Wardrobe, a hugely popular online community hub that offers fashion-conscious shoppers services to prolong the life of their favourite garments.
During her time as a sustainable fashion writer, she saw a substantial gap in the market for affordable, ethically-sourced clothing. The Good Wardrobe is styled as “the antithesis of fast-fashion”, providing a platform for people to share their knowledge of sewing, stitching and alterations.
Robinson’s Sew It Forward initiative brought together a subculture of fashionistas committed to recycling the contents of the wardrobe. The site now works with businesses to create events and team-building workshops, as well as offering partnerships and sponsorships to other firms who adhere to their eco-friendly ethos.
The young entrepreneur’s environmental efforts have earned her a list of accolades, including an appointment as London Leader by the London Sustainable Development Commission. Her company was Highly Commended for Fashion in 2014 Sustainable City Awards.
