Sherry Coutu is one of the most successful serial entrepreneurs in Britain today and one of the most influential women in business within the country. With decades of experience in the finance, tech and education spaces she is a trusted advisor to many.
One of her most celebrated ventures was Interactive Investor, a financial services platform which she founded in 1994, it was floated onto the LSE in 2000 and sold to AMP in 2001. Since the sale of that company, she has gone on to work as an angel investor, backing more than 50 companies.
She also serves on the boards of various companies, charities, and universities, including Cambridge University Finance Board and the London Stock Exchange. Coutu has been given a plethora of awards by various publications including, Computer Weekly, WIRED, and the Evening Standard all for her influential standing within the tech market.
She was awarded a CBE by Her Majesty the Queen in 2013. Originally from Canada she studied at the University of British Columbia, the London School of Economics, Harvard Business School, and the University of Bristol. She also dedicates a significant amount of time to educational causes including her project Founders4Schools which is an online platform aiming to connect students with local entrepreneurs.
