Revolut was founded in 2013 and is a digital banking alternative that provides users with a prepaid debit card as well as a platform that allows currency exchange, peer-to-peer payments, and cryptocurrency exchanges.
It provides this service without fees in 25 countries at the moment and even provides travel insurance as well. Nikolay Storonsky believes that in order to make the world better you have to break walls and for him that consists of long working days, which he views as a necessity for any start-up.
Brexit has caused UK banking to be less appealing to businesses and because of this Revolut recently applied for a banking license in Lithuania. Storonsky was born in Moscow and holds a masters degree in physics from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, where he was also a state champion swimmer.
