What makes Nas a Global Shaker?
Nasir Bin Olu Dara Jones better known as Nas is a man of many talents but is most heralded for his legendary status in the hip-hop music scene. He has been nominated for 13 Grammy Awards but has yet to take one home, which to most seems like an injustice.
Nas has also taken his talents to the big and little screens appearing in a number of films and television shows and even acting as an executive producer on Netflix’s The Get Down. Many of his fans may be wondering why he hasn’t released an album since 2013 but it seems his focus has shifted elsewhere – the world of venture capitalism.
Through his investment group, Queensbridge Venture Partners Nas has invested in a multitude of tech start-ups including Cointent, a company set up to help publishers monetise content a much-needed response after the introduction of adblockers.
More people will be more likely to take notice of the rumours swirling that the illustrious rapper is still making moves in the music industry with a new album said to be ready in 2018. It would be his first full album release since 2012’s Life is Good.
