Self-confessed “horse girl” Mona Skisland, is the founder of EquiConnector, a digital solution based on the concept of a sharing economy that acts as an Airbnb for horses.
Mona has been horse obsessed from the age of five. From then, she noticed that there were barriers to horses that made it both difficult for beginners to get into the sport and for equestrians to stay in it.
Through EquiConnector, Mona is making horses more accessible and affordable by bringing the equestrian industry up to the 21st century.
EquiConnector’s allows equestrian centres to submit all of their equestrian activities for booking on the platform and drop in regular class slots.
The EquiBooker platform handles the booking, signing of waivers, payments and contact information.
EquiConnector also does consulting for equine enterprises — educating and lecturing around business development, marketing, photography and homepages.
A fierce advocate for the mental and physical benefits of being around horses, Mona’s passion and innovative ideas are making waves in the equine industry.
