What makes Ilana Taub a Global Shaker?
Ilana Taub is co-founder of Snact, a sustainable snack business with products sold across the UK and through major online retailers such as Ocado, Planet Organic, and Amazon.
Snact was born in 2013 as a solution to the great wastage problem in the fresh produce industry: products frequently discarded for being too big, too small, or simply too unattractive. What started by turning surplus fruit from wholesale markets in London into fruit jerky is now and established ethical brand that champions home compostable packaging and consistently launches new products.
Taub has also established herself as an authority on how businesses can position and market themselves. Her views on food wastage earned her the appointment as a London Leader by the London Sustainable Develop Commission and the Mayor of London. She is also a fellow at Unreasonable, an investment fund dedicated to companies tackling social and environmental problems.
