What makes Jon Favreau a Global Shaker?
Director Jon Favreau is the man behind Disney’s major modern remaking of classic films, including the Jungle Book and 2019’s the Lion King. He has earned acclaim for in many ways creating an entirely new form of film-making — using virtual reality to enter into and film through a fully explorable digital set.
Favreau has had success as an actor, screenwriter and director. He directed the christmas film Elf, the original and second Iron Man films, and executive produced three films within the Avengers universe.
As an actor, he appeared in the hit sitcom Friends, following a breakout role in ‘Swingers’ alongside Vince Vaughn.
For his work on the disney films, he was announced as a Disney Legend in 2019 for his contributions to the Disney company.
