Joacim Westlund is the CEO and Founder of Shortcut Labs, based in Stockholm, and brains behind the company’s prime product, Flic.
A wireless smart button, Flic lets you control your smartphone apps and other devices at the push of, well, a button. Featured on CNET, Engadget and Wired, reviews call Flic a powerful, yet easy to use gadget. More than 150,000 Flics have been sold internationally.
The company recently released the FlicSingle, a range of single purpose buttons. These include FlicFind, to find your phone; FlicLights, to control your smart lights; and FlicSelfie, to take selfies from up to 50 meters away.
In addition, Shortcut Labs is currently crowdfunding for the Flic2, which works through the Flic app and can communicate with IFTTT, Zapier, Microsoft Flow, Sonos, Uber, and Slack.
“So what do you do when you wake up,” an explanatory video asks. “Turn on the lights, put on some energising music, listen to a podcast or the news? Put on some coffee maybe?
“What if pushing a button could do all of that for you.”
