Jérémy Clédat is the founder of Welcome to the Jungle, a recruitment platform tailored specifically to 20 to 35-year-olds.
Before becoming an entrepreneur, he studied finance, strategy and management at ESCP Europe, the world’s first business school established in 1819. After he completed his degree in 2009 he spent a year at Tecnológico de Monterrey studying finance management. After completing his studies Clédat began working in venture capital. He did a short stint for Rothschild working in equity capital markets before becoming an associate at AUDACIA – a French private equity fund that invests in small to medium-sized businesses. He was able to complete 25 deals in under two years at the firm.
Clédat then moved to Creadev Investment to become an associate working on the Mulliez family fund, he primarily focused on the web, human resources, online training and education sectors. After leaving the world of finance he became a partner at Verso Films in 2012 – a video and digital production agency. He still holds the title at the agency and has also been a contributor to Les Echos, a leading French economic newspaper. He has taken a behind the scenes look at companies like Deezer, Innocent and My Little Paris.
Welcome to the Jungle was founded in 2014, and in 2017 it raised €2 million from various business angels. What sets apart this recruitment company is the insight it gives users to the companies they are applying to. Clédat and his team shoot videos, photos and write articles to transform standard start-up profiles to engaging content packed with information. It aims to help young people find their dream job and allow employers to brand for a new generation of workers.
