It’s increasingly difficult to get on the property ladder in any country. It becomes even harder when people are looking in the wrong places for good-value mortgages.
Ishaan Malhi was faced with a similar property dilemma after graduating from university in 2015, so decided to do something about it. He founded Trussle, the UK’s first online mortgage broker, which helps first-time buyers and people that already own a home find the best-value mortgage. It uses algorithms to search through offers from more than 90 different lenders, switching customers over if it finds mortgages with better savings.
The company says that it has received 1,000 5* reviews on Trustpilot and has managed over £1bn of mortgages on behalf of UK home owners.
As quoted on Forbes — through which he was listed as one of the 30 under 30 for Technology in 2019 — Malhi aims to save British customers “£15bn in unnecessary mortgage payments” (equivalent to $19bn.)
