Torstensson, the youngest student ever to attend the prestigious Swedish Berghs School of Communication, was personally invited to join the magazine by its founder, Tyler Brûlé, and Grede joined shortly after leaving the independent fashion magazine, Stockholm New.
They left in 2003, to launch Saturday as a London-based creative agency and it soon developed into a group of 12 separate companies involved in creative, digital, e-commerce, publicity, licensing, sales and distribution, talent brokering and brand management.
In 2010, Grede and Torstensson, who are both in their late 30s, created the online luxury menswear retail website Mr Porter, for Net-A-Porter, the online luxury menswear shopping website. They also founded two magazines, Man About Town and INDUSTRIE, for which they were editors-in-chief and they have also acted as consultants for Vogue and GQ magazines, the Gucci Group, Richemont and J Crew.
