David Benigson is the co-founder and CEO of Signal Media, which claims to be the “only provider of global, real-time unlimited information and insights driven by leading artificial intelligence.” The company uses artificial intelligence technologies to incorporate information from online and print media, radio, television and various other sources in 200 markets and 100 languages. The platform is now considered to be the gold standard for media monitoring, market research, and reputation management.
“We aggregate a lot of the world’s information and apply machine learning to transform that information into insight,” David explained in an interview with Latka. “Then we enable our clients to train up our systems with their domain expertise, so that they can unlock all that expertise and ultimately get the machine learning and the algorithms to deliver them better insights and better results, and more relevant results.”
Signal Media has clients from a wide variety of industries, including financial services, law firms, charities, and PR. The company has raised over $25 million in funding as of April 2019.
David studied English literature and American studies at the University of Manchester and then completed a bachelor’s in law from the BPP College of Law. Prior to founding Signal Media, he worked as a representative for Jamie Oliver at One Young World in Zurich before working at the Jamie Oliver Foundation at London until 2012.
David is also a Young Ambassador at Innovate UK, which is part of the Prince’s Trust International. In 2017, he was listed on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list in the European Media category.
