Benjamin Stern is the founder of Nohbo Drops, a company which has developed an environmentally-friendly and plastic-free way to distribute shampoo. The product, distributed in small pods, is made from all-natural ingredients and is designed to wash hair of any length.
The design does not use a bottle as it is based on detergent pods, and is developing a line of non-bottled toiletries.
In a video with Business Insider, Stern explained that his goal was not to encourage people to reuse products. “It was not to recycle products more. It was to replace the need for bottles. Because if eventually we keep on replacing a bunch of daily consumable goods then one day, hopefully, the need for bottles and plastic will cease to exist.”
His company aims to partner with hotels to get rid of the need for plastic toiletries. Fifteen drops cost $7.49, with a promise that they will ship in September 2019.Tags: plastic, plastic pollution, plastic solutions
