What makes Ben Corrigan & Jonny Plein Global Shakers?

Online shopping can often be a tedious, frustrating affair – especially if you are a discount-conscious shopper on the hunt for a bargain. We’ve all been at that point in the night where we are trawling the web for those golden voucher codes, only to find no luck. Luckily for bargain hunters, London-born entrepreneurs Ben Corrigan and Jonny Plein came onto the FinTech scene with Pouch – the free browser extension launched in 2016 which finds and displays active voucher codes for the site you are on.

As is the case with the best bargain sources, news spread fast about Pouch. Within a remarkably short period of time, the extension was used by over 3,000 retailers in the UK alone. Despite the young ages of these entrepreneurs, their level of experience in business shouldn’t be underestimated. Ben Corrigan boasts his making of a range of successful enterprises out of ecommerce, including turnkey websites and eBay businesses.

Like his Co-Founder, Jonny Plein began entrepreneurship at an early age, launching his first official company, Bid2Eat, at the age of 18. Having left their jobs to pursue their start-up venture, Corrigan and Plein aim to grow Pouch into a global, “multifaceted technology business with a range of products that make online shopping seamless for consumers”.

With such an innovative idea in the field of FinTech, it is no surprise that the entrepreneurs won an overwhelming endorsement from the ‘dragons’ of BBC’s Dragon’s Den.
